Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Classes in Liverpool, NSW

Our core program, run for beginners through to competitors. You'll learn position before submission, control before flash — the same fundamentals Aydin built three national BJJ titles and a world-class competitive career on.

What A Class Looks Like

Warm-up, technique, then live rolling.

Every BJJ class runs the same structure: a proper warm-up, focused technique instruction, then live rolling at the end so what you just learned gets tested for real. Complete beginners join the normal class and get split off onto basics rather than being left to just watch — nobody's thrown in the deep end.

Two Ways To Train

Gi and no-gi, both on the timetable.

Gi

Traditional training in the BJJ gi (kimono) — grips, collars and sleeves are a core part of the technique. New and don't own a gi yet? Just wear a shirt that can be grabbed and stretched for your first few classes.

No-Gi

Faster-paced grappling without the kimono. A rashguard plus shorts or tights is all you need — no collar or sleeve grips to worry about.

Your Coach

Aydin Mrouki

A BJJ black belt with 17+ years in BJJ and MMA, multiple state and national BJJ titles, and several appearances at the World Championships. Aydin runs the BJJ program personally, start to finish.

A Brief History

From Brazil to the world.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu grew out of Japanese Judo and jujutsu in the early 1900s, developed and refined in Brazil by the Gracie family and other early pioneers. Its central idea is simple but powerful: a smaller, weaker person can control and submit a larger opponent through leverage, timing and position, rather than strength. That principle is why BJJ became the backbone of modern MMA, and why it's taught today as both a serious combat sport and a practical self-defence skill.
